On March 16, 2026, a lecture by international expert in the field of semiconductor technologies Mike Richardson was held at the Research Institute for Intelligent Computer Systems, dedicated to current trends in the development of the industry and potential opportunities for Ukraine in this area.
During the speech, global trends in the semiconductor industry were considered and its growth prospects were outlined. The speaker emphasized the importance of using Ukraine’s intellectual potential, in particular the high level of training of engineers and scientists, for integration into the global semiconductor ecosystem.
Particular attention was paid to the role of innovation, research and development in the formation of competitive advantages. It was emphasized that effective participation in the global market is possible thanks to the development of scientific approaches, modern technologies and active international cooperation.
During the lecture, issues of creating a favorable environment for the development of the industry were also discussed, in particular through coordination of efforts between universities, scientific institutions and industrial partners. An important aspect is attracting international support, investments and participation in joint educational and scientific initiatives.
Particular attention was paid to the training of specialists and the development of educational programs that will contribute to the formation of a new generation of engineers in the field of semiconductor technologies.
