On September 4–6, 2025, the 13th IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Data Acquisition and Advanced Computing Systems (IDAACS’2025) took place in Gliwice, Poland, which this year was organized in a hybrid format at the Silesian University of Technology. The conference was co-chaired by Prof. Anatoliy Sachenko, WUNU and Prof. Wojciech Kempa (Poland), the honorary chair was Prof. Vincenzo Piuri (Italy), the chairman of the International Advisory Board was Prof. George Markowsky (USA).
Participants presented their research in 42 oral and poster sessions. The plenary sessions were attended by key invited scientists Prof. Oleksandr Letychevskyi (Heriot-Watt University, UK), Dr. Angelo Genovese (Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy), Prof. Nataliia Kussul (University of Maryland, USA), and Dr. Viktor Kremin, a representative of the sponsoring company Infineon.
WUNU was represented by a large team of teachers, students, postgraduates, and doctoral candidates, to whom we express our gratitude. Special thanks to the scientists who led the sessions: Natalia Dzyubanovska, Natalia Pochynok, Lesya Dubchak, Leonid Bytsyura, Andriy Melnyk, Maria Lyzun, Oksana Chereshnyuk, Taras Tsavolyk, Tetyana Drakohrust, Vita Semanyuk.
At the final round table on Saturday, September 6, Prof. Sachenko summarized the main results of the conference and announced statistical data. 438 papers from 35 countries were submitted to the conference, of which 271 papers were accepted after review. In total, 252 participants took part in the conference: 96 directly in Gliwice and 156 online. All accepted and presented papers will be submitted later for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore, Scopus and Web of Science databases. In addition, guest editors will select a few papers, the authors of which will be recommended to send extended versions to special issues of highly indexed journals of the MDPI publishing house: Sensors, MAKE and Applied Sciences.
Prof. George Markowsky announced the creation of a selection committee and a cash award for the best paper by a young author from the Sensors journal, as well as a cash award for the best paper of the conference from the MAKE journal. In addition, a committee has been created to distribute grants from sponsors for Ukrainian authors.
Prof. George Markowsky announced the results of two meetings of the International Advisory Board (IAB). A decision was made to introduce 4 new members to the IAB, including Associate Professor Lesya Dubchak, WUNU. In addition, applications from candidate countries for the XIV IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Data Acquisition and Advanced Computing Systems (IDAACS’2027) were considered and based on the results of the vote, Athens, Greece was chosen as the venue for IDAACS’2027. Prof. Nikos Bardis, the host of the upcoming IDAACS’2027 conference, delivered a welcoming speech and invited everyone to Athens in September 2027.
The IDAACS’2025 conference once again confirmed the high level of international cooperation in the field of intelligent information and communication technologies, as well as the active involvement of WUNU scientists in the global scientific community.
