Professor Carsten Wolff from the Dortmund University of Applied Arts and Sciences, Germany visited the West Ukrainian National University on April 23-26, 2024.

On Wednesday morning, April 24, 2024, Prof. Carsten Wolf gave a lecture for students of various specialties on the topic “Digital transformation projects”. After that, there was a short meeting with Dr. Ulyana Koruts, vice-rector for international affairs of WUNU.

On April 24, 2024, at the meeting of the WUNU Academic Council, Carsten Wolf made a short report, and based on the results of the vote, he was awarded the title of Honoris Causa Professor of WUNU. After lunch, Karsten Wolff visited the immersive multifunctional hub of WUNU, as well as the Educational and Scientific Center of Information Technologies of WUNU. At the end of the day, Carsten Wolff had a working meeting with Anatoly Sachenko, Mykhailo Dombrowski and Iryna Turchenko, where the general agreement on bilateral cooperation between universities, as well as the agreement on double diplomas, was discussed.

On Thursday morning, April 25, 2024, Prof. Carsten Wolf, together with Anatoly Sachenko, held consultations with doctoral students Khrystyna Lipianina-Honchachenko and Lesya Dubchak, and graduate student Igor Romanets. After lunch, there was a meeting with WUNU vice-rector for science Mykola Dyvak on issues of deepening scientific cooperation, in particular, joint management of candidate and doctoral dissertations, as well as joint preparation of international projects. Then there was a meeting between Carsten Wolff and university rector Professor Oksana Desyatniuk, at which the parties summarized the visit.

At the end of the working day, a workshop of the participants of the international project WORK4CE: Cross-domain competencies for healthy and safe work in the 21st century was held, where the state and prospects of the project’s development were discussed.
