A current working meeting was held at University of Coimbra (UC), Portugal from 2 to 6 October 2017. This meeting brought together the two European projects: Cabriolet and Erasmus + ALIOT [aliot.eu.org]. Meantime University of Coimbra was founded in 1290, so it is one of the world oldest universities.

First,  the Cabriolet project was monitored on October 2. It began with the welcoming addresses of  hosts Ant?nio Jos? Mendes and Marco Vieria, UC, the grant holder Chris Phillips, University of Newcastle, Great Britain and National Project Coordinator Vyacheslav Kharchenko, National Aerospace University named by M. Y. Zhukovsky “Kharkiv Aviation Institute” (KhAI). Jorge Pimenta and Paulo Caridade, presented the IPN incubator and the Spacelayer company respectively. Then reports were made by Vyacheslav Kharchenko, Oleg Ilyashenko, Dmitriy Uzun, Anatoliy Gorbenko, Olga Tarasyuk, KhAI; Elena Golembovskaya, Association of Information Technology Enterprises; Yuri Kondratenko and Yevhen Sidenko, Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University; Alexander Palagin and Volodymyr Opanasenko, Institute of Cybernetics named by. V.M Glushkov, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Ah-Lian Kor, Leeds Beckett University, Great Britain; Alexander Drozd, Dmitry Maevsky and Olena Mayevska, Odessa National Polytechnic University; Volodymyr Kazimir, Chernihiv National  University of Technology; George Vorobets, Chernivtsi National University named by Yuri Fedkovych.

The monitoring of the Erasmus + ALIOT project lasted the tow days. It began on October 3 with welcoming addresses of the host Marco Vieria, UC, grant holder Chris Phillips, University of Newcastle, Great Britain, and National Project Coordinator Vyacheslav Kharchenko, KhAI. Then the course leaders presented their team work progress in developing lectures, seminars and labs, in particular: Vyacheslav Kharchenko, Oleg Ilyashenko, Dmytro Uzun, KhAI; Inna Skarha-Bandurova and Alexander Ryazantsev, Volodymyr Dahl East-Ukrainian National University; Anatoliy Sachenko, Ternopil National Economic University; Yuri Kondratenko and Yevhen Sidenko, Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University.

The day of October 4, began with a lecture by Jorge Granjal, UC regarding the possibilities of using and implementing Internet of Things. Then course leaders presented their team work progress in developing lectures, seminars and labs, in particular: Ah-Lian Kor, Leeds Beckett University, Great Britain; Dmitry Maevsky, Alexander Drozd and Olena Mayevska, Odessa National Polytechnic University; Ravil Kudermetov and Dmitry Pavlenko, Zaporizhzhya National Technical University; George Vorobets, Chernivtsi National University named by Yurii Fedkovych; Volodymyr Mohor and Igor Kotsyuba, Institute for Modeling in Energetic named by G. E. Pukhov, Ukraine National Academy of Sciences.

On October 5, the participants did not work due to the national holiday, Day of Independence. Therefore, a trip to the Atlantic Ocean coast was organized in the attractive town of Figueira da Foz, with beautiful beaches, where the participants even got tan in the southern sun.

On October 6, Jorge Figueira presented a new eco-project, starting at UC’s Startup eco-system. Then participants were introduced to the research groups of the IPN Research Institute (Instituto Pedro Nunes), in particular the Laboratory of Automatics & Systems [las.ipn.pt], and the exciting university tour was held.

Finally the next two project meetings were scheduled in 2018: in February in Ukraine along with the winter school and in August in UK along with the summer school correspondingly.
