From November 8 till 17 2013 as part of Ternopil National Economic University (TNEU), Department of Informational Commuting Systems and Management (ICSM), head of department, professor Anatoly Sachenko, assistant professor of ICSM, Ph.D. Nataliya Jatskiv and assistant professor of SCS Ph.D. Vasil Yatskiv visited Central China Normal University, Wuhan for research in a joint research project “Wireless multimedia sensor networks based on modular arithmetic and Galois codes for video surveillance systems”.
On Nov 11 a group participated in workshops with teachers and students of the Department of Electronic Technology, where they familiarized the participants with the TNEU and Research Institute for Intelligent Computer Systems (ICS), as well as the results of work on joint research projects.
Professor Anatoly Sachenko held a lecture for the students of the third year entitled «Reseach Institute for Intelligent Computer Systems: Overview and Research Activities», which presented the results of research groups of ICS, and told about the features and TNEU perspectives for study of students from China in particular in the framework of Ukrainian-American program in computer science
Associate Professor Nataliya Yatskiv delivered a lecture entitled «The Coding Methods Based on Residue Number System», which presented the results of research in the field of data encryption using modular arithmetic.
On November 12 there were a working meeting held with a group of scientists working on the project from the Pedagogical University of Central China, which shared their results, discussed opportunities for joint management master’s theses and developed a plan for further joint research.
13. 11. 2013 – meeting with students of the second year of study. Professor Sachenko hold a lecture where he told about the TNEU, presented the results of research groups of ICS and spoke about the features and perspectives and training in TNEU students from China, in particular the Ukrainian-American programs in computer science. Associate Professor Nataliya Yatskiv explained the basic theory of coding data using modular arithmetic, and presented the results of research in this area
14. 11. 2013 a meeting with faculty was held, staff and students of the Faculty of Information Technology Hubeyskoho University of Technology (Hubei University of Technology, HUT). Professor Sachenko gave a presentation of Ternopil National Economic University and the results of scientific and educational activities of the Research Institute for Intelligent Computer Systems and Dean of the Faculty – talked about the subject and the main directions of research departments and research groups of the faculty. In addition, Chinese scientists showed experimental prototypes of software and computer systems within commercial projects.
In conclusion, the parties exchanged of scientific results and outlined plans for further cooperation in scientific and educational spheres as well as the prospects of a student exchange in the framework of a cooperation agreement between TNEU and HUT.
15. 11. 2013 group visited Tsinghua University, Beijing, one of the most prestigious Chinese universities. Professor Zhang Dali introduced TNEU teachers of the University.
