On September 1st 2013, Robert Hiromoto, professor of Computer Science from University of Idaho, USA, arrived to Ternopil National Economic University for lecturing and running his researches in Ukraine as a Fulbright Scholar.
Prof. Hiromoto will stay at TNEU for 9 months, in particular at the Department for Information Computer Systems and Control, Faculty of Computer Information Technologies as well as Research Institute for Intelligent Computer Systems. He is going to consult lecturers, graduates and undergraduates students in Wireless Communication and High Performance Computing. Also, he is planning to continue his research on Wireless Communication Protocols, which are used for automated clusters coordination.
Prof. Hiromoto has been worked at University of Idaho since 2002, first at Moscow Campus and then at Idaho Falls in 2009. Also he is involved in the activities of the Branch of the Center for Advanced Energy Studies (CAES), where he is cooperating with experts in Nuclear Energy.
“Hiromoto exemplifies the cutting-edge research and teaching of the University of Idaho’s CAES faculty and the international impact their work is having” said Robert Smith, U-Idaho Idaho Falls vice president and an associate director at CAES. “This is a notable achievement and an honor for him, the University of Idaho and CAES.”
Visit of Prof. Hiromoto was made possible by the Fulbright Program, which occupies a prominent place in the international education system. The Fulbright Program is based on idea of cooperation and mutual understanding and grounded on knowledge and respect for the diverse world, it has been successfully operating since 1946, in 155 countries of the world as for today. More than 850 Ukrainians studied, were interns and conducted researches in the USA within the Program in Ukraine, since 1992, while almost 500 Americans were lecturing in Ukrainian universities and run their research.
