On Friday, February 14, 2025, Professor Anatoliy Sachenko visited Khmelnytskyi National University, where he met with Professor Oleg Savenko and young scientists Oleksandr Melnychenko and Pavlo Radyuk. Together they summed up the results of the first stage of the research project “Intelligent system for detecting defects in green energy facilities using UAVs”, which is funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and with the assistance of the European Union.

During the meeting, the scientists discussed modern methods for processing video data from drones and presented preliminary results, in particular the developed architecture of a distributed intelligent image collection and analysis system. The preliminary results of the proposed approach made it possible to increase the accuracy of defect detection to 95% and reduce the time for technical inspection of green energy facilities from 90 to 8 minutes. In addition, the team has formed a work plan for the second phase of the project, which involves further integration of artificial intelligence and automated drone control for even more effective monitoring.
